Alex advises digital asset and fintech firms across APAC on licensing, compliance, and risk management. He works with clients in fractional roles as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, delivering outsourced compliance solutions and regulatory expertise tailored to their growth and governance needs.

Matthew Hawken

Founding Partner, Compli360

Matthew has over 30 years’ experience working at top-tier law firms and senior advisory roles in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Europe and Asia, practising at Clifford Chance, Chapman Tripp, Spark Helmore and DWF and is a co-founder of Compli360.

Matthew has a particular interest in financial innovation and brings cross-border expertise, broad legal knowledge and commercial acumen to his engagements to make him a trusted advisor to clients building innovative business models and navigating complex regulatory frameworks.

Matthew Phelan

Founding Partner, Compli360

Matthew is a senior Responsible Manager, executive and former Country and Region Head for global payments companies WorldFirst and Paysend, and a co-founder of Compli360.

Matt is recognised for bringing "hands on"expertise in managing large scale AFSL compliance programs, AUSTRAC reporting, cross-border payments, FX and remittance operations, and provides technical depth and commercial understanding to his advisory roles.

Stu Hallows

Founding Partner & Advisory Board Member

Stu is a co-founder of Compli360, a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders (FIML), and a member of ACAMS. He brings more than three decades of specialized experience in banking, finance, and global payments, with a career spanning key international markets including Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

Stu has led large-scale global operations involving complex cross-border initiatives and also advised startups and early-stage entities to develop robust operating models and risk management frameworks.
